Tuning
For 17 years, I have proudly been a seasoned, professional piano tuner.
The first four years of my career at Piano’s Maene provided a fantastic foundation. During that time, I tuned a staggering 1,000 pianos per year. Thankfully, things have become much calmer since then, but such an intense start truly helps a young technician develop the necessary expertise. For instance, the same piano can respond entirely differently depending on climate conditions, maintenance, and other factors. It takes time and experience to encounter all these variations.
After that period, I continued as an independent tuner, collaborating over the years with numerous partners both domestically and internationally, sharing experiences and expanding my knowledge.
You can count on me for piano tunings in private homes, (music) schools, concert halls, festivals, and studios. However, for historical pianos, I’ve been referring clients to colleagues for several years now.
While it’s possible to tune through noise—sometimes unavoidable—it’s best to ensure a quiet environment during a tuning session. This helps achieve greater efficiency and quality.
If illness strikes, for example, during a bout of flu in the household, don’t hesitate to reach out to reschedule. It’s simply more pleasant for both parties.
Feel free to contact me for more information or to make an appointment—I’d be happy to help.
